Ever heard of libre.fm? Well it’s about time then. Basically libre.fm is a music sharing and streaming service, powered by free software. But not only can you find freedom under the hood, all the songs available on libre.fm have to be free-licensed.

Listening to music on libre.fm works with an HTML player so it should work with every more or less recent webbrowser without the need of installing Flash or any other third party software.

If you have an account on last.fm you can also connect your libre.fm account to it. This will enable you to for instance forward your scrobbles to last.fm.

The best part however is that many of the songs on libre.fm are actually really good.
